化學（Chemistry）是一門研究物質的性質、組成、結構、變化，以及物質變化規律的科學，化學是物理學的一個分支，其基本單位是原子。通常情況下，化學也被稱為“中心科學”，與其它自然學科，如：物理學、地質學、生物學都有緊密的關系。
