ACT（American College Test，美國大學入學考試，俗稱“美國高考”），為美國各大學申請入學的重要參考條件之一。盡管ACT目前在國內的流行程度不及SAT，但在美國這兩種考試卻是被同等看待的。另外，ACT由于包含有科學考試部分，本身注重對中學課程知識的掌握，因此上，ACT本身是不需要科目考試的，這點與SAT不同——不少美國大學除了需要SAT推理測驗（SATⅠ）外，還需要有SAT科目測驗（SATⅡ）。

考試內容

ACT考試分英語（English）、數學（Mathematics）、閱讀（Reading）、科學（Science）、寫作（Writing）五個部分，前4部分總分則稱綜合（Composite）。其中寫作為選考，但也有不少學校要求申請者提供寫作成績。除寫作外，其余考試部分全部為選擇題。

科學	40道	35分鐘	Measures the interpretation, analysis, evaluation, reasoning, and problem-solving skills required in the natural sciences.
寫作（可選）	1篇	30分鐘	Measures writing skills emphasized in high school English classes and in entry-level college composition courses.

考試時間

ACT每年有五次考試，分別是每年的2月、4月、6月、10月和12月，其中2月和6月的考試不含寫作部分的。

報考費150美元（不含寫作）或166.5美元（含寫作），包含4所學校成績遞送，而后每加送一所學校需13美元。*(5)

考試地點

ACT考試在國內設有考點,但是目前只對完成GAC預科課程或者是與ACT簽約的中學的學生開放。其它考生需到香港或者新加坡等地方考試。*(4)
