選史蒂文斯理工學院的金融工程。原因有三：

1）2015QuantNet金融工程排名，史蒂文斯金融工程排名全美第30，石溪沒有上榜

2）2016FTE美國金融工程碩士排名，史蒂文斯排名第13，石溪排第34

3）史蒂文斯看起來雖然位于新澤西州，不在紐約州，但實際上地理位置非常優越——“霍博肯位于紐約大都會區，是該都會區的主要交通樞紐之一，它的地理最高點是位于一座位于史蒂文斯校園西班牙古堡，站在該古堡之上可以俯瞰紐約市中心曼哈頓的風景。”霍博肯也就是史蒂文斯的所在地。石溪雖然看起來再紐約州，但實際上距離紐約市比較遙遠，還有55英里。

Answer:  
The MMF program is designed for individuals with strong quantitative skills who are interested in developing mathematical models for valuation and hedging of financial derivatives. Thus the MMF program prepares students for junior quantitative analyst positions. The MSF program is designed for individuals who will be targeting financial analyst positions that do not require advanced quantitative skills.

The MMF curriculum requirements include classes that give students a rigorous theoretical, mathematical and computational background in finance, with a focus on asset pricing and hedging of financial risks. The MSF curriculum requires a broad grounding in finance, including topics (such as financial statement analysis) which are not heavily quantitative. MSF courses cover the material with less of an emphasis on formal mathematics.

I'm interested in a career as a quant. Which program should I enroll in: MSF or MMF?

Answer: 
Both programs provide excellent preparation for work in quantitative finance. Which program you should choose largely depends on your interests and background.

The MMF program is appropriate for those students who can handle rigorous mathematics and would like to gain a deep understanding of the mathematical foundations of modern finance. It is not a theoretical program; students emerge from the program with strong programming skills and experience implementing financial models. They also will gain exposure to one or two specialized applied areas within finance, such as trading, risk management and financial programming.

Answer: 
A graduate from the MMF program may seek a position as a junior quantitative analyst (quant) with financial institutions such as banks, trading corporations or hedge funds.

Students learn computational aspects of modern finance using programming languages such as C++ and Python. In addition, students learn modern simulation methodologies.

這是IIT上關于金融數學碩士（MMF）與金融碩士（MSF）的區別，IIT的金融數學碩士在QuantNet上是被列為金融工程項目的，2015年排在第29位，剛好比史蒂文斯理工學院高一個位置。

你這5個項目，其實就是IIT的金融和史蒂文斯的金融工程二選一，其它都沒有考慮的必要。其它三個，對金融來說，地理位置都太差，而且綜排也都遠遜史蒂文斯，沒有考慮的必要。

IIT和史蒂文斯對比，主要看你是喜歡金融工程還是金融。如果是喜歡金融，那就選IIT，如果是喜歡金融工程那就選史蒂文斯。不過依我的判斷，你既然敢申金融工程碩士項目，那么數學功底一定不會差，應該也會更傾向于數據分析類的工作的。國內留學選金融的太多，一不小心整成推銷的了，還是選金融工程更靠譜一點，畢竟不是每個學金融的人都可以學金融工程的。

綜上，我的建議還是史蒂文斯理工學院。

The principal difference between the MSF and MSFE programs is the greater emphasis on quantitative techniques and programming required in the MSFE program.  The MSFE prepares students for quantitatively- oriented finance careers, including careers in derivatives valuation, hedging, risk management, trading and portfolio management. The curriculum includes applied mathematics and statistics, computer programming, and finance. Half of the courses are taught by engineering faculty and the other are taught by finance faculty.

你看的那個是USNEWS世界大學排名吧，這個排名影響力遜于QS、THE和ARWU。石溪國內影響力還可以吧，因為招的中國學生多，校友力量是一支不可忽視的力量。

/@tutu 石溪主要是CS不錯，每年CS錄的中國學生超多。紐約計算科學中心（NYCCS）在這里，是和布魯克黑文國家實驗室共建的，有一臺被稱為“藍色基因”的超級計算機。
