舞蹈是一種藝術(shù)形式，肢體伴著音樂的節(jié)奏的一種表達(dá)形式；場合不同，表達(dá)方式和效果亦不同，分為情感表達(dá)、社會交際和健身舞蹈等；舞者通過在舞臺上的無表現(xiàn)，或是傳達(dá)一種思想、理念或是講述一則故事，給人一種此處無聲勝有聲的妙感。
舞蹈分多種形式：非洲大部分舞蹈具有詮釋意義；芭蕾、圓舞和探戈皆有古典風(fēng)格；廣場舞是一種臺步舞；霹靂舞則屬于街舞的類型。舞蹈可以是親自參與其中的，或是社會交際類型的也可以是表演給大眾的舞蹈。*(1)

Creative and self-disciplined. You’ll need to be able to manage your time well. It also helps to be a good listener and a good teacher.
Many students choose to focus their study on Dance Education.
Dance programs are generally competitive, as is the case with most performance programs.
Be prepared to submit a videotape of your past performances. You’ll probably also have to give a live audition to be accepted to a Dance program.*(10)
